I hadn't planned on moving in next door to a handsome, grumpy neighbor—a doctor with eyes as blue as the Pacific Ocean.

Truth is, I had given up on love. But when a 100-year-old postcard with a romantic message showed up in my mailbox, I had two choices ...

Ignore it and go on with my quiet mid-western life. Or ...

Fly to California to find out who sent it all those years ago—and why.

I chose to go.

It didn't take too long for my new neighbor, Zac—aka Dr. Holt—to come around. Especially as we began our exploration of the famed slice of paradise called Hollywood by the Sea.

Still, his wounds ran deep. Guess you could say, mine did too.

Eventually, two questions hung between us: Had we both found what we'd been chasing after? Or was it time to let go?

Be prepared to fall in love with this "magical beach story!" - Reviewer

I liked the characters, the setting, and the premise. The hero and the heroine were believably “real” people. They both had been left unsatisfied by their past dating experiences but they saw something in each other that they were not willing to give up on.This is a clean romance in word and deed. It does drag a bit but it... See more

Normally I don't especially like letters from the past in the midst of the story. However I do understand how the author used the post card from long ago to draw one into this book. The heroine of the story leaves her sister in Indiana to go to Hollywood by the Sea on the hope of finding answers about her Great Grandmother... See more

I liked the story and the characters but I had a hard time with parts of the book. The writing was confusing, especially the parts where Greta was talking with her sister. I had to read a lot of it more than once to figure out who was talking and what they were talking about. Also, I felt that the resolution was a little abrupt. E... See more

This is such a cute story about searching for family history and finding what you need the most. I loved the bit of history, the setting, characters, and the oh-so-sweet romance. Chasing Valentino is a recommended book.

Can feel wet sand in my toes while reading. It’s got beach feels & suspense too. Don’t worry re: character losing job it’s not really discussed in book. I’ve been w/o a job & was worried - but it was no big deal

A very sweet, romantic and feel good story with some dicey characters and an old couple still in love. Greta’s search for Great-Grandmothers “Valentino” was a well researched and fun cavort through the history of an actual place and people who were famous. Zac was precious. Tea and cookie time with this great read!

Loved this Christian romance novel. Wonderful story developed by Julie Carobini. I love her style and character development. Lot of historical content also which added interest. Loved it!

This novel took me from my spring and dropped me into the heart of summer. Greta went to California to investigate a mystery letter to her great grandmother from the 30's. As she tries to answer her questions she gets to know some interesting characters, falling in love along the way. I appreciate this lovely Christi... See more
