Hello!
I'm Julie Carobini, an author and editor living on the California coast.
While some people find their sacred space on a mountaintop, I guess you could say that I found mine at sea level!
I write beach fiction for readers like you who love to be whisked away by sweet romance, women's fiction, or perhaps a bit of cozy mystery. Honestly, sometimes all three in one book!
I grew up in Los Angeles but later landed in Ventura County where I made great friends, found faith, and fell in love with the dashing Dan Carobini. (Who, although born and bred in landlocked Pennsylvania, now owns several pairs of board shorts.)
After conquering a serious illness, and while raising three children, I began writing articles for a variety of magazines. My work covered issues such as family, faith, and the sea. I’ve also edited many books for talented authors. Over the years I picked up two writing awards from the National League of American Pen Women and a Carol Award for editing from ACFW.
Eventually I decided to write seaside novels with a touch of romance and faith, and that’s where I found my voice. In addition to romance, I've written several mysteries, too. Turns out I can be rather creepy (Thanks, Mom, for bringing me up on Agatha Christie and Mary Stewart!)
When I’m not writing, marketing, or editing, I’m marveling at the beautiful kiddos I’ve had the privilege to raise … and yet giddy that, now that they are grown, I’ve traded in my van for a sporty little number 😉
